Stagger Guest Arrivals

Pretty sure this is a rec from Emily Miller, but she mentioned the idea of staggering guest arrivals for parties. Have a few of your best besties come early and get the vibe going. My friend Blayne usually does that and it definitely helps the party seem already festive when more guests arrive and prevents any of that awkward moment of guests standing around not knowing what to do.
