

I've realized that a lot of people don't know that there are ticks in Los Angeles! Several friends have Lyme from tick bites here sadly (topanga, la national forest etc). They are also in Portland and I've heard locals say that they didn't know! Love these tips for stayin safe. Check your pups after you hike! If you find a tick attached, go to urgent care/ER you can get on antibiotics, and if you remove the tick yourself make sure to keep it in a little bag so you can send it in for testing!

May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month! I recommend taking five minutes to educate yourself about Lyme Disease (but if you have more time you can go down some rabbit holes about it, it’s actually pretty crazy).
