praying to St Anthony when you lose something
My catholic roommate would always tell me to pray to St Anthony every time I lost something (which was often). I swear it works and I’m not religious. I tell my daughter to do it and last year my engagement ring flew off and I couldn’t find it for over a month! Thought it was gone forever but kept praying to ole Anthony. One day I was putting away the remaining bins of Christmas decoration and it was underneath the very last one… wild

Our Portuguese father, catholic patron and Saint of lost or stolen items. I’m not catholic, but catholicism and saint hood have always interested me. I think it’s silly when people say that that saints are false idols in the face of god because if god was so miracoulous why wouldn’t god bestow their gifts onto others— a vessel of the mouth and body to the ear.
